Supervision for MFT Trainees, Interns, & Consultation Services

Recently my work has expanded to include providing supervision and consultation to beginning therapists and those newly licensed. My focus and commitment during the supervision/consultation process is to provide you with a sensitively attuned and emotionally safe environment. This invites and encourages you to access your innate intuition and wisdom about clinical material.

Initially we will develop a vision together that is based upon your current level of development, identification of learning goals, and areas of clinical focus and interest. As we allow this vision to guide us, you will be met with empathy, positive regard, constructive support, and the encouragement to explore your internal world as the center of information about the happenings in your clinical work. You will also be respectfully guided to personal self discovery and increased awareness of how to more deeply embody your clinical work. The process will also be honored in a way which conveys respect to spiritual, gender, & multicultural factors and sensitivities.

For those ready to, you will be facilitated to create and truly honor and cultivate an internal tracking environment as a clinician that allows you to notice, contain, metabolize, and utilize countertransference and parallel process material when appropriate and timely. Additional areas of focus could be translating theory into practice, deepening reflective capacities, and managing anxiety. 

Practice Building Consultation For Interns, Newly Licensed Therapists, & Related Professions

For many individuals starting out in a new career in the psychology, counseling, healing and intuitive arts professions, the prospect of building a thriving practice that is sustainable and meaningful can be overwhelming. For some with student loans accrued from graduate school or other training programs, and other financial obligations, the pressure can be sizeable as you begin your journey doing the work you love and have worked so hard to prepare to offer to your clients. 

There can be much anxiety and a lot of questions such as; What is the best way to let people know about my work? How do I deal with insurance and managed care? Is it worth it? How do I develop a realistic and executable marketing plan that is tailored to who I am and what my unique ‘signature’ is? What about advertising and a website? These can often be the beginning, but there can be many many more.
