On The Way To The Wedding
You’ve spoken those words, “I will. Yes. I will marry you.” Or, “will you marry me?” And another path of relationship begins. The journey to become wedded partners in a culture where there is a staggering divorce rate can be so evocative that it’s no wonder that I often see couples coming to see me after they became engaged and then had their biggest fight, stress or meltdown to date. Rarely do partners realize the full extent of how archetypally comprehensive an event a wedding is, let alone a marriage, and our society does not openly offer a way to prepare for such an event.
The On The Way To The Wedding Program meets this need by preparing couples for the transformative journey of their wedding and marriage partnership by providing clear support to identify and address the crux of the most influential factors that are contributing to their wedding and marriage such as family and cultural expectations, and other often evoked issues at this time regarding love, intimacy, partner roles, expectations, money, children, home, and spiritual/religious concerns. The structure of this program supports couples and partners to become empowered to successfully navigate and open to the wedding journey in a way that illuminates a sacred authentic shared vision for their wedding day and further out, deepens capacity for true intimacy, creates healthy lifelong patterns to carry forward, and empowers them with the necessary skills and tools to live well… On The Way To The Wedding and beyond.
