Why Consider a Group?
There are many advantages a group offers that may be a supportive supplement to individual & adult or couples therapy, or provide meaningful value on its own. Group therapy and workshops offer participants an opportunity to come together with other participants committed to the group for a certain period of time. In this safe and contained environment group members develop relationships with each other based upon a mutuality of engaging their issues within a viable place to work them through collaboratively in an environment of safety, creativity, compassion, humor (often times), mutuality, and respect.
These meaningful relationships that group members often develop with one another continue long after the group is over. They provide a useful context with skills learned from the group to support ongoing growth, change, and further meaningful connection.
Over the past 20 years I have been a facilitator to many different kinds of groups from toddlers to teens to adults. To be able to untangle the internal world in the presence and camaraderie of a supportive collective of people can provide a deeply supportive and emotionally meaningful experience. I continue to study and increase my skills as a group facilitator with further ongoing training.
In addition to the current groups being offered I have and I continue to participate in the Women’s Dream Quest as a small group leader from time to time. This is a sacred opportunity for women to come together and address collectively the themes that spiral through and awaken the feminine spirit. Please click here for more information.
